Abstract

Dentists have a moral and legal responsibility to protect themselves and their employees from high amounts of mercury vapor in the dental office. Time should be taken to train both new and existing office personnel on the nature of the problem, improved housekeeping methods, the importance of reporting problems as they occur and proper clean-up procedures.
