Abstract
Complex relations between Chinese and western medicine are discussed: disease is considered as general omeostatic alteration of the whole organism. Nowadays the two medicines should integrate owing to the different methods of analysis of the patient. Acupuncture in its complex techniques, pharmacology and dietology are able to respond to health problems of single patients.
