Financial triage.

Abstract

Financial planning involves budgeting, risk management, short- and long-term investing, retirement planning, and wealth transfer. Most people lack the expertise and discipline to accomplish all of these areas of planning alone which present the need for a planning expert. These experts come in many types and levels of expertise and the choice of the planning expert is perhaps the single most important financial decision an individual can make. This decision is made like many other decisions are made, with the input of others, research, and gut feeling. The time put into this decision will more than pay for it and the following discussion will aid you in this process.
