[Mersilene mesh in reconstruction of the osseous walls of the pneumatised skull (author's transl)].

The use of Mersilene mesh in reconstruction of the stable walls anterior to the air-containing sinus cavities is emphasized. The basic advantage of the technique employed is the need for tissue covering on only one side of the mesh. Subsequent penetration of the mesh by connective tissue with secondary epithelialization from adjacent mucosa develops a stable wall, even in the presence of local infection. The possibility for good fixation to surrounding bone, immediate availability as well as good cosmetic and functional results recommend its application to selected patients.

[Unusual aspects in the creative pictures of a retarded, ineducable boy].

Drawings and sculptures of an 11-year-old retarded boy are presented, who was not capable of school education. His low-level of lingual-logic thinking contrasts with his almost age-corresponding capability of optic differentiation. His pictorial creations are impressive in their accurate presentation of animals, which are reminiscent of the artistic figures of paleolithic big game hunters. Parallels with the paleolithic hunting magics as characterized by Mirimanow are obvious. The presentation of men in the form of acting head-feeters might be based on an undifferentiated idea of their own body, of partially disabled children with impaired sensorial recognition.

Comparative study by the frequencies of the rotatory and sinusoidal stimulation with a stereotaxic experimental method.

The analysis of the records, obtained with six rabbits which were submitted to the combined antagonistic stimulations, peripheric rotatory and central stereotaxic, has not allowed to find a systematic relationship between the two rotatory tests. If the physical equivalence seems to be real where one takes the RMS value of the sinusoidal accelerations (and not the maximum acceleration for a half-period) the physiological equivalence however has still to be sought after.
