The author presents case reports of seven girls with histories of hypersexual behavior associated with delinquency, aggressive behavior, and hypomania. Six of the girls had been exposed to virilizing hormones in utero or in childhood. Most of the girls in the sample were hirsute, tended toward mesomorphic build, and had been young at menarche. The author postulates that exposure to virilizing hormones can result in the kind of hypersexuality and delinquent behavior observed in his sample; he points out the need for adequate medical attention to this type of patient.
Intramolluscan stages of Fasciola gigantica were followed experimentally in laboratory-reared Lymnaea natalensis, from the time of miracidial entry until the 85th day. Contrary to previous accounts, the miracidium was found to metamorphose directly into a first-generation redia during the first 4 days. About the 16th day, the redia migrated to the snail liver. Second-generation rediae gave rise to 3rd-generation rediae and/or cercariae by the 45th to 50th day. The release of cercariae from 3rd-generation rediae began around the 75th day, and from 4th-generation rediae after 85 days. All studies were conducted at ambient temperatures in the laboratory at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, in 1968-71.

Ultrasonography has proved to be a highly useful method for detecting testicular lesions, correlating them with clinical findings, and indicating whether scrotal masses are caused by fluid or by solid tissue. It has not been possible, however, to distinguish spermatic cord torsion from epididymitis.
A 5-year-old child presented with a recurrent infraumbilical abdominal mass. Clinical and sonographic diagnosis was consistent with an infected urachal cyst. The clinical features and sonographic differential diagnosis are discussed.
