[Experiences in the therapy of acute glaucoma with Miopos-eye ointment "stark" (POS) in the surgery (author's transl)].

The author demonstrates 5 cases of acute glaucoma. In one of them (case 4). the i.o. pressure of 60 mm Hg appl. was normalized only by the above mentioned ointment combination of Pilocarpin/Physostigmin; the remaining patients received in addition intravenous injections of 500 mg Acetazol-Nitrium, but it seemed retrospectively that the latter was not necessary.

[Late choroidal detachment after i.c. cryoextraction of the lens (author's transl)].

Eighty days after i.c. cryoextraction of the lens without any complications, intra- or postoperative, choroidal detachment was observed in a 68-year-old woman (hypertension, diabetes m..amaurosis of the right eye after central artery embolism). -Conventional decongestive drugs (Reparil, Tantum, Tanderil) had no effect. Within 6 days of treatment with microwaves, 2.5% Hydrocortisone and atropine eye-drops and Prednisolone (10 mg/die) internally there was complete regression of the detachment.

[Intraocular solitary granuloma of toxocara canis (author's transl)].

5 cases of intraocular Toxocara canis solitary granuloma are demonstrated. The coincidence of two different aspects of a disease: pseudocoloboma of the macula (toxoplasmosis) in the right and a toxocara solitary granuloma in the left eye of the same patient (case 5) perhaps will furnish proof possibility of foetal infection (via placenta) by Toxocara canis.

Adolescent↗

[A case of trichotillomania (author's transl)].

The author reports on an 8-year-old girl who pulled out eyelashes of both eyes because she was "bored". There were found no further grave neurologic signs. This was a harmless psycho-neurosis.

Bipolar Disorder↗

[Vascular retinal complication after long-time therapy with oral hormonal contraceptives (author's transl)].

A case report is given of a vascular disease of right retina of a 37-year-old woman during treatment with contraceptives during 9 years. The retina shows at first a clinical picture of chorioretinitis centralis serosa. After stopping the hormonal preparation and prescription of Dexium (Kalziumdobesilat) the retinal changes disappeared quickly (oedema, exsudates, hemorrhages).

[Case report on a Toxocara-canis infection of the human eye (solitary granuloma) (author's transl)].

Description of one case of an intraocular Toxocara-canis infection. It deals with a so-called solitary granuloma at the posterior pole of the eye. An infection with this parasit of world-wide distribution is probably more frequently than commonly supposed. The prognosis of the disease is unfavourable in most cases. The diagnoses of a larva migrans visceralis infection is possible by Lamina's Microprecipitation-Test on the living larva. It is an immune-biological and species specific test. The treatment is Minzolum¿ perhaps in combination with a corticosteroid or photocoagulation.
