[Localized pulmonary pseudo-tumoral form of Wegener's disease and fulminating evolution. Apropos of a case].

A case of Wegener's granulomatosis starting as a localized pseudo-tumoral lung lesion and following a fulminating course is reported. The histological diagnosis required thoracotomy. New pulmonary lesions developed post-operatively, together with severe renal failure which was responsible for the patient's death 5 weeks after the thoracotomy. The authors describe the lesions characteristic of the disease and their pathogenesis and discuss the relationship between Wegener's syndrome and other granulomatous angiitis.

[Some effects of a growth inhibitor, Diflubenzuron, on a crab Carcinus mediterraneus (Czerniavsky)].

The effects of Diflubenzuron (N-4-chlorophenylamino carbonyl 2-6-difluorobenzamide) were tested, on a common crab of the Languedocian coasting ponds: Carcinus mediterraneus (Czerniavsky). Seawater was contaminated at two concentrations: 0.2 and 0.02 ppm. This insecticide enhances the mortality with increasing concentrations and causes a mortality at molting that, perhaps, results of alterations in the formation of the new exoskeleton. These effects on the cuticle look like those found in contaminated insects: the absence of resorption of the old integument is added to malformations in the synthesis of the new exocuticle.

Fine structure of the nemertean worm Lineus lacteus red blood corpuscles.

In the blood of Lineus lacteus, haemoglobin-containing cells measuring 6-7 micrometer in diameter were seen. Using electron microscopy different cellular components were identified, including a nucleus which contains a nucleolus, mitochondria, rough and smooth endoplasmic reticulum, free ribosomes, osmiophilic deposits, and Golgi apparatus. The morphological appearance of the Lineus lacteus erythrocyte was found to resemble an immature mammalian red cell.

[Erythrosis interfollicularis colli de Leder].

The authors have studied clinically and histologically two cases of " erythrosis interfollicularis colli de Leder ". It's a frequent affection, principally between 40 and 50 years of age but not very known because the patients rarely consult for it. Clinically they insist on the respect of a triangulary and lozengical median zone, and on the sight in "plucked chicken skin"; histologically on the dilatation of sebaceous glands, the frequency of a folliculary corneous plug and the elastic tissue alterations. On the etiological plan, the part of the age, the sun exposure, and in their two cases on the possible photosensibilisative part of the scents.
