[Fibroadenoma of the paraurethral glands. A new tumoral entity?].

A eighty year old woman was admitted with "metrorrhagia". Clinical examination founded a nodule in the urethro-vaginal septum. Tumor was easily removed by approach through the anterior vaginal wall and was 2 cms in size. The patient is well since 18 months. Histological study showed a proliferation of ducts surrounded by connective tissue, just like in a fibroadenoma. Duct's epithelium was mostly of urothelial type, sometimes columnar with mucous secreting cells. Both epithelia where sometimes observed in the same duct. The hypothesis of a fibroadenoma of supernumerary mammary gland tissue doesn't seem to be retained: the lesion is not in vulva, there is no mammary gland tissue around and the epithelium is not a breast duct's epithelium. The term "fibroadenoma of para-urethral ducts" is suggested. No similar tumour could be founded in the literature.

Adenofibroma↗

[Revascularization of supra-aortic trunks from the femoral artery].

A seventy-year-old woman had an occlusion of the left sub-clavian and left primitive, internal and external carotid arteries, combined with a pre-thrombotic stenosis of the brachiocephalic trunk. Lesions were so diffused that a cross extra-anatomic bypass was impossible at the cervical level. There was contraindication for the implantation of a prosthesis on the aortic arch, due to a much extended calcified atheroma which did not allow clamping. Supra-aortic trunk revascularization was done through right femoral-axillary bypass without any post-operative complication. After a four year follow-up, the bypass is still patent. The purpose of this report is to emphasize that such r revascularization, which is rarely reported, must be better known since the implantation of the bypass on the femoral artery leads to patent and durable results.

[Deep rotated connective tissue flap for the reconstruction of the interdental papilla].

The LCPR or Rotated Connective Flap is a simple mucogingival surgery technique that permits the to recreate, of an interdental papilla by the contribution of the vascularized connective pedicle. Keeping a good vascularization of the flap by its pedicle and its good recovering by some superficial flaps, seems to insure a long dated stability of the reconstruction.

Gingiva↗

Study of behaviour and endurance of Bioapatite implanted in the periodontium of the dog (closed model).

The principle purpose of this study was to quantify endurance of the biomaterial Bioapatite implanted in periodontal structures of the dog (closed model), such quantification being established by means of indices (Endurance Index and Transformed Endurance Index) obtained as a result of data-processed analysis of histologic images. The investigation further aimed at studying the development of new cementum and the reconstruction of an attachment system. The study was conducted on eight dogs and 222 sections. New cementogenesis and the reconstruction of an attachment system are observed both in the test sites and the reference sites. Endurance of the biomaterial is statistically linked with time: the most substantial decrease in the endurance is observed between two and six months. Traces of the material subsist at month 9. The structure of material masses always remains lacunal on a microscopic scale (highest average Endurance Index observed during the investigation: 30.35%). An osteoid deposit can be continually detected as of the second month around crystalline deposits. Further, this type of deposit was noted on the periphery of the deposits implanted in ectopic position in the supracrestal connective tissue.
