[Prolactin level in thyroid diseases and its reaction to thyroliberin].

Prolactin content was determined before and after thyroliberin (TRH) injection in 15 healthy subjects and 136 patients. Basal levels of prolactin were increased in initial hypothyrosis, decreased in nodular euthyroid goitre, thyroid cancer and close to normal in thyrotoxicosis. TRH assay is more informative than the study of prolactin basal level. Prolactin hypophyseal content is decreased in diffuse toxic goitre, nodular euthyroid goitre, particularly, in cancer, being within normal in toxic adenoma and sharply increased in initial hypothyrosis. Hypothyrosis treatment produces a decrease in prolactin basal and stimulated levels down to normal. The treatment of diffuse toxic goitre leads to a slight rise only in the stimulated level of prolactin. Indices of TRH assays remained unchanged after surgical treatment of toxic adenoma.

[Comparative analysis in assessing the thyroliberin test in thyroid function disorders].

The thyroliberine test was performed in 128 subjects with euthyroidism, thyrotoxicosis and initial hypothyrosis, using a "Hoechst" (FRG) drug in a dose of 200 micrograms, injected intravenously before and 30 minutes after thyroliberine administration, followed by radioimmunoassay of thyreotropic hormone. The test results were evaluated according to the difference and ratio of stimulated basal thyrotropin levels. Distribution of random errors of these findings was studied. Examination of a statistical hypothesis on the normal law of propagation of errors was realized according to the X2 criterion. It was detected that the introduction of a new index for the test evaluation is of interest, i.e. logarithm of ratio between stimulated and basal thyrotropin levels, which was the best one in the thyroid function increase. In initial hypothyrosis the use of the difference between stimulated and basal thyrotropin levels is more informative.

[Hemostasis in hens with exposure to low-dose gamma-irradiation in the embryonal period].

Exposure of hen's eggs to irradiation by doses 0.05-1.66 Gy (dose rate 2.56x10-4 Gy/s) in early embryonal period (1st day of incubation of eggs doesn't essentially affect on indices of functional state of haemostasis system of two-month aged individuals, except the activation of contact phase of blood coagulation, in which a hypercoagulation shift within normal fluctuations has been noted.

[Adhesive intercellular interactions].

The process of intercellular interactions during morphogenesis, inflammation and malignant growth are considered from the point of view of possible intercellular contacts provided by cell adhesion molecules. The system analysis of different cell adhesion molecules classes? their structure and influence on functional cell activity is performed. Clinical importance of expression disturbances of cell adhesion molecules at various pathological processes is considered.
