Triplication and twinning in one dental arch: report of a case.

This report documents the case of a young patient who presented with dental conjoining anomalies in both sides of the maxillary arch. One defect involved primary incisor twinning and the other a rare instance of primary incisor triplication--three conjoined teeth.

[Statistical studies on numerical anomalies of teeth in children using orthopantomograms. Congenital coexistence of hyperdontia and hypodontia].

Statistical studies on numerical anomalies using orthopanthomograms had been attempted. In this paper, congenital coexistence of hyperdontia and hypodontia in individuals had been researched using 4009 orthopanthomograms of pedodontic patients. The tested were following; Male: Age 2-5 1036, 6-11 905, 12-22 Total 1963. Female: Age 2-5 1032, 6-11 985, 12-29 Total 2046. respectively. And 11 (male: 7, female: 4) coexistence cases were found. They were combinations of a hyperdontia (1 tooth: 5, 2 teeth: 2, 3 teeth: 1, 4 teeth: 2, 7 teeth 1) and a hyperdontia (1 tooth or 2 teeth).

Bilateral mesiodentes of identical twins--a case report.

A pair of identical 10-year-old Chinese twins with bilateral mesiodentes of opposite orientation are presented. Three mesiodentes were conical and impacted, while the other one had erupted and was incisiform in shape. All roots of the mesiodentes were completely formed. Intrapair twin comparison showed a high degree of genetically determined concordance, with minor differences subject to environmental influences. The prevalence of mesiodens and rate of monozygotic twins in various ethnic groups are reviewed. Mirror image traits and verification of monozygocity in identical twins are also discussed.

[Numerical anomalies of the dentition with respect to various types of teeth. 2. (Molars and multiple anomalies). Dentition anomalies among cases of a district dentist, 7].

The significance of the numerical anomalies of the teeth is seen for the general medical science that it may be helpful for solving of questions raised by other hereditary anomalies. This report deals with the numerical anomalies of the molars, and it reports the variety of the multiple numerical anomalies. The latters may appear very multifarously and may occur extremities (complete edentulousness and jaw bone doubling, respectively), too.

[Numerical anomalies of the dentition (main characteristics, therapy, prevention). Dental anomalies from the caseload of a district dentist, 9].

The principal characteristics of numerical anomalies of the teeth are described: the occurrence, the incidence, the nomenclature. With healing such anomalies the cooperation of the oral surgeon, the prosthetic and the orthodontist is important. Methods of orthodontical, oral, surgical, and prosthetical treatment are described. Possibility of prevention, its significance and the necessity of examining such anomalies are mentioned.

[Impacted upper central incisor. Surgical-orthodontic treatment].

This study goes through the aetio-pathogenetic factors which cause the upper central incisor's inclusion and then it analyses the various clinical pictures to which odontologist's attention may be called. It is in this context that the study describes afterwards several problems pertinent to disinclusion's surgical techniques and to scientific methods about included teeth's hooking and about their odontological settling in the dental arch.
