[The possibilities for correcting interhemispheric EEG asymmetry during reflexotherapy of depressive states with pain syndromes].

The work deals with the signs of interhemispheric EEG asymmetry in depressions with pain syndromes. Reflex therapeutic techniques proved capable of achieving a functional correction of EEG asymmetry indices in the somatosensory cortex. The authors believe that reflex therapeutic influence on the central mechanisms of depressions ensures a pathogenic approach to the treatment.

[Combined acupuncture reflexotherapy and hypnosis in treating neuroses].

Observed were 117 patients with different neuroses (neurasthenia, hysteria, obsessive) involving intense vasoautonomic paroxysms of sympathetic-adrenal, vagoinsular and combined nature. Unfavorable course of such neuroses was noted. Combined one-session acupuncture and hypnosis treatment is put forth and the increased hypnogenicity phenomenon was demonstrated under acupuncture therapy. Both techniques benefited from their combination. The possibility of eliciting hypnoid states under the physical methods of treatment is discussed together with their therapeutic application and arising deontological problems.

[Effect of reflexotherapy on the baroreflex function of patients with neurocirculatory dystonia and the initial stages of hypertension].

Central and peripheral hemodynamic effects of reflex therapy were assessed by means of echocardiography and rheovasography, as was the pulse rate, arterial blood pressure and peripheral vascular tonicity response to the baroreflex test in patients with neurocirculatory dystonia, the hypertensive syndrome and essential hypertension, stage IB-HA by L. A. Miasnikov's classification. The hypotensive effect and favorable central hemodynamic changes contribute to the recovery of an adequate pulse and blood pressure response to the baroreflex test, and a greater baroreflex test-induced drop in vascular tone.

[Reflexotherapy of vibration-induced disease].

The authors have developed an acupuncture technique which ensures a good effect in moderate forms of vibration disease associated with muscular dystrophy and involvement of the structures of the bone and muscle apparatus. The technique is based on a combined impact on auricular acupuncture points (with needles and microneedles) and on the corporeal points (with needles, drug injections, and irritation of the underlying periosteal acupuncture point). The efficacy of the proposed method in patients with vibration disease is 1.8 times higher as against the conventional combined therapy.
