[Diaplacental influence on the disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in an asphyxia model. II. Influence on the vessel's content (author's transl)].

There is reported on the possibilities of diaplacental influencing on the DIC arising from the hypoxia we provoked with the help of an asphyxia model in rabbit fetuses. We could demonstrate the impossibility of influencing on the fetal vasal content by means of low molecular dextran, heparin or streptokinase. On the contrary, the possibility exists to influence on the fetal hemostasis by low molecular synthetic substances. The antifibrinolytic drug PAMBA causes in case of advanced acidosis diaplacental a definite growth of the intravascular coagulation, as well. But an inhibition of the fibrin sedimentation in the terminal vessels at the asphyctic shock can be achieved by applying the ethyl ester of the 4-amidinophenylpyruvic acid (APPA).

Fetal asphyxia: prevention, detection and intervention.

Fetal asphyxia occurs eight times more frequently in high-risk pregnancies than in normal pregnancies. Primary prevention is possible through exemplary prenatal care, and a variety of techniques are available for early detection of the fetus at risk. Fetal distress demands an urgent search for the cause of hypoxemia. In the absence of any correctable abnormality, persistent hypoxemia requires immediate delivery.

[Verification of KTG recording in states of perinatal partial asphyxia using fetal capillary blood pH].

We analysed 91 cases of pH-metric verifications of pre-pathological and pathological cardiotocograms, which suggested imminent perinatal partial asphyxia. In 50% of cases there was no need for medical intervention, this groups of patients delivered vaginally and newborns were in good condition. In 80% pH value well correlated with state of newborn at birth. Pre-pathological cardiotocograms showed mainly variable decelerations, pH value didn't show acidosis and afterbirth umbilical cord collision was stated. In pathological cardiotocograms we observed mainly late decelerations, pH value showed fetal acidosis which coexisted with placental insufficiency in prolonged gestation.
