There was conducted operative treatment of patients with complicated chronic pancreatitis. Intravenous infusion of aminoacid cocktail with enhanced content of glutamine, methionine with the selenium addition was applied in the complex of therapy. Under the influence of modified cocktail during 3 days there was observed more complete restoration of the ascorbic acid (AA) level and lowering of her oxidated forms content. This effect became more potent in addition of AA (0.75 per one infusion).

A method of recording slow ROSP's changes of the brain in chronic animals was used. It has been shown that wakefulness was accompanied by quasisinusoidal oscillations of ROSP (periods--several seconds). During slow sleep, oscillations of ROSP became more complicated and their periods were longer. It is suggested that transitions from sleep to wakefulness and vice versa are connected with removal of maximums of oxidative metabolism tension between biochemical systems characterized by different rhythms of self-regulation. Rhythmic oscillations of ROSP reveal the possibility of separate functional system of the ROSP of the brain cortex to synchronize their oscillations in the brain tissue (biochemical synergism).
Experiments were conducted on male albino rats to study some intracellular metabolites (lactate, pyruvate, malate, glutamate, alpha-ketoglutarate, ammonia) and the redox process in the tissues of the liver, kidneys, myocardium, and skeletal muscles during hyperthermia (40 degrees C for one hour and 45 degrees C for one hour). Changes of the metabolite content and shifts in the redox process in the direction of oxidation in the liver and kidneys at both levels of hyperthermia are evidence of the development of tissue hypoxia of circulatory character in these organs. The mitochondrial NAD/NADH ratio in the myocardium reduced in moderate hyperthermia and increased during a heat stroke. There were no signs of cellular hypoxia in the skeletal muscles. It is concluded on basis of the results that changes of the blood flow in the organs play the leading role in the origin of thermal hypoxia.
