[Evaluation of possibilities and prospects of the use of mucosa-free fragments of the small intestine on a vascular pedicle in surgery of the stomach and intestines].

On the basis of the results of experimental investigations performed on 69 dogs, the authors came to conclusion about the possibility to use effectively demucosed small intestinal fragments on a vascular pedicle as a plastic material in operative interventions on the stomach and intestine. The developed operative techniques were employed in 8 patients.

[Morphofunctional transformations of the blood vessels in the transplantation of syngeneic normal tissue and of a tumor].

In 360 Fisher rats dynamics of changes in blood vessels, the microcirculatory bed vessels included, have been investigated. An original model of the experiment at implantation of syngenic tissues of the fetus normal intestine and tumorous adenocarcinoma of the small intestine has been used. Specific changes of the blood vessels have been revealed around and in the capsule of the implant, depending on their morphological reorganization. The blood vessels changes can serve as a prognostic sign of possible alterations in the implant structure.

[Cancer of the small intestine at the site of an ileostomy].

A rather rare case of tubular-villous adenoma located on the small intestine mucosa in the ileostomy area and its transformation into adenocarcinoma is described. The patient had undergone previously a two-stage colectomy for a giant creeping large intestinal tumor with malignancy in the left and right colic flexure and in the rectum 7 cm apart from the anal margin. Adenocarcinoma of the small intestine developed 5 years later in the ileostomy zone. Ileostomy was reconstructed with the excision of 15 cm of the small intestine. The tumor structure at the site of ileostomy was that of adenocarcinoma, and it infiltrated the muscular layer of the small intestinal wall.
