To provide effective dental treatments for patients with bleeding disorders, it is necessary to educate them about the existence and recognition of dental diseases and the effective way in dental preventive care, such as proper brushing, nutrition, good care for dental hygiene. Good and close cooperation among patients, patient's family, physicians, dentists and other medical personnel will provide successful management. Patients with bleeding disorders should have routine preventive dental treatment in the hospital or clinic on a regular basis. Most patients should be on a six months recall program. Some should be seen more frequently, according to their dental health.

The etched cast restoration was introduced as the "Maryland bridge" in 1980. The technique has continued to evolve with modifications in tooth structure and framework design as well as improvements in luting resins, including some that chemically bond to the alloy. The conservation of tooth structure and the avoidance of involving the gingival crevice remain the major advantages of the technique. Research has shown that the etched cast restoration, when designed with a retentive framework, exhibits bond strengths comparable with those of traditional complete coverage restorations. The main purpose for this retentive framework is to limit the stresses placed on the resin, thus preventing the phenomenon of stress fatigue in the resin. Clinical observations and an 11-year clinical study involving 127 restorations confirm this research. The long-term success rate in this study was 92.9%.
The integration of periodontal considerations with restorative planning is now the standard of care. Instilling motivation toward prevention continues to be one of our most challenging goals. A stable healthy periodontium and minimum restorative needs are the resulting rewards. With the use of available knowledge and microbial testing for both periodontitis and caries susceptibility, we now can offer our patients a higher likelihood of success in retaining natural teeth and implants.
This paper reviews the relationship of periodontics to restorative dentistry. Specific emphasis is placed on the relationship of the restorative margin to the periodontium and the frequent need to alter the placement of the gingival margin so that the restoration will be constructed on sound tooth structure. The prognosis of the sectioned multirooted tooth and other alternatives of treating a shortened dental arch are considered. However, all treatment modalities conclude that a compliant patient and a strong periodontal maintenance program are integral to success, which, with a coordinated effort by the periodontist and the restorative dentist, best assures a successful long-term dental treatment.
Dental implants are becoming more commonly used in periodontal offices. The literature related to implants this past year was filled with important material that will change the way we diagnose and formulate treatment plans. This review covers the key points that must be understood to maximize success with dental implants.

This paper reports three cases where permanent incisor teeth had been displaced following trauma. Owing to the circumstances at presentation the cases were not treated according to the usual recommendations. However, the final outcome in each case was excellent. These observations indicate that a prospective clinical trial is needed.
