A relatively poor bibliography is devoted to the Rorschach-Test diagnosis of the cranio-traumatic subjective syndrome of Pierre-Marie, or, in our own formulation, syndrome of minimal traumatogenic cerebral injury. Following a short review concerning this syndrome and the literature mentioning the Rorschach-test, we relate our own experience based on 58 cases of Pierre-Marie syndrome and 61 cases of neuro-organic not-traumatic diseases, compared with 60 neurologically normal cases, submitted to this test. Two comparative tables allow the following conclusions: a) the Rorschach-test of a Pierre-Marie syndrome is clearly distinct from that of a neurologically normal subject; b) this test is largely near to that who is given by not-traumatic neuro-organic diseases and, c) there are no a specific Ro-profile of the Pierre-Marie syndrome. Confirmation, with additional facts, concerning the characteristics of the Ro-test of these patients.
Roy Schafer 's Psychoanalytic Interpretation in Rorschach Testing has, for nearly 40 years, represented a hallmark of psychodynamically informed psychological assessment. In this article, Schafer's contribution is reviewed in light of recent contributions to the Rorschach literature. Following a summary of the main sections of the work, Schafer's approach to the Rorschach is critically re-examined from the perspective of modem assessment practice. Differences between the epistemological bases of psychoanalytic and empirical methods of Rorschach interpretation are highlighted, and the prospects for an integration of these two approaches are considered. It is concluded that Schafer's contribution remains as fresh today as when written 40 years ago.
A review of studies in which the Rorschach Test was administered to alcoholics, and of studies of the effects of experimental intoxication upon Rorschach performances, reveals recurrent attempts to elucidate alcoholic "signs" and characteristic alcoholic perceptual style.

"Profile" ou "silhouette" responses are rarely given at the Rorschach-test (4,87% of our 780 adults and minors; i.e. 7,17% for the adults and 2,56% for the minors). In 82% of our adults and in 50% of our minors, they are indicators of avoiding neurotic behaviour; in 18% of our adults and in 50% of our minors, we are dealing with contact difficulties or insufficiency complexes. These responses are generally unique in each Rorschach test. However 42% of our adults and 30% of our minors gave more than one of them. The VIIth plate holds the first place as a "stimulus" for "profile" or "silhouette" responses (46,22% of the adults and 40% of the minors). The other Rorschach-plates are, in a decreasing order: III, II, I, V and VI for the adults and VII, I, II, and IX for the minors. These responses suggested by the interpretation of the free border of the plates, are De-responses; when human beings are seen as wholes the Rorschach symbol will be G; if only their heads are perceived, it will be: D.

The use of the Rorschach test allows the body image to be examined using the Body-Image Index formulated by Fisher-Cleveland. This index is obtained by calculating the responses to Penetration and Barrier. The hypothesis is that the diseases which affect the inside of the body are more greatly correlated to a high P score and a low B score (high P-low B type personality). The paper examines the Body-Image Index in a sample of 41 patients suffering from ulcerous rectocolitis comprising 24 males and 17 females with a mean age of 32 years. The personality profile obtained is of the "high P-low B" type with a P/R% ratio which is clearly higher than the central mean value (28.7% vs 8%) and a B/R% ratio which is clearly lower than the central mean value (4.2% vs 18%). The personality of the patients in this group was marked by a tendency to anxiety and a tendency to express aggression within their bodies (anger-in) which was field-dependent, difficulty in tolerating stress, a tendency to react somatically to conflicts, a low degree of body image stability and a constant need for an external holding object.
