In the title compound, 2[Fe(C5H5)(C6H5O2)].C6H12N2, the molecular components are linked into finite three-component aggregates by strong O-H...N hydrogen bonds [O.N 2.578 (4) and 2.604 (5) A; O-H...N 170 (5) and 174 (6) degrees ]; these aggregates are further linked by C-H...O hydrogen bonds [C...O 3.327 (5)-3.401 (5) A; C-H...O 149-157 degrees ] into continuous sheets in the form of (6,3) nets.
The title trans prolyl amide exists as a benzene solvate, C(15)H(18)N(2)O(3).C(6)H(6), with positional disorder of the prolyl ring. The molecular structure is influenced by a close intramolecular N-H...N contact that provides structural support for the intramolecular catalysis of peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerization.
The racemic form of the title secondary monoalcohol, C(16)H(14)O, forms crystals in which the molecules are linked into chains by hydrogen bonding. The chain architecture is unusual; adjacent molecules are related pseudosymmetrically, by either a pseudo-diad or a pseudo-glide plane, while alternate molecules are related exactly by a crystallographic glide plane.
The title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O, which contains a double bond connecting an azabicyclic ring system to an indol-3-ylmethylene group, crystallizes from a solution in ethyl acetate. The geometries of the two crystallographically independent molecules are nearly identical. The crystal packing of the title compound involves two types of intermolecular hydrogen bond.
In the title compound, C(17)H(22)FIN(2)O, both the amide and the iodophenyl substituents of the tropane ring lie in equatorial positions. The crystal packing is determined by N-H.O and C-H.F intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions.

The crystal structure of the title compound, C(15)H(17)NO(2), contains two nearly identical but crystallographically independent molecules, each with a double bond connecting an azabicyclic ring system to a 3-methoxybenzylidene moiety. The space group is triclinic P-1. The benzene ring is twisted by 18.44 (5) and 22.35 (4) degrees with respect to the plane of the double bond connected to the azabicyclic ring system for the two molecules. In addition to C-H...pi interactions, molecules are held together in the solid state by van der Waals interactions.
The crystal structures of the title compounds, C12H18N2O4, have been determined in order to establish the relative configurations. In both structures, the isopropyl substituent strongly prefers the quasi-equatorial position. Therefore, the exo isomer adopts a dioxepanoaziridine pattern of a chair-chair (CC) conformation and the endo isomer a boat-chair (BC) conformation.
The absolute configuration was established as (S,S,S) by the R-factor test and by careful measurement of 197 enantiomorph-sensitive Friedel pairs of reflections. The determination also confirms the absolute stereochemistry of (-)-3-aminoquinuclidine, a compound used in the preparation of the title material. The cyclohexane/tetrahydrofuran ring fusion is cis. The quinuclidine moiety has almost perfect threefold symmetry; the front and rear halves are twisted about this axis by 15 degrees. Quinuclidine-N--H ... Cl- and amide-N--H ... Cl- hydrogen bonds link screw-dyad-related molecules along the b axis.
This new example of a composite crystal adds to the small number previously reported among inorganic and molecular materials. Revision of the nomenclature used allows more fruitful comparison with the precedents.
