The ambivalent copulator: ejaculatory incompetence and identity diffusion.

This case report illustrates how a serious identity problem is crucial in dynamically understanding this rare sexual dysfunction. Ten retarded ejaculators treated by the author tend to be extremely compulsive and neurasthenic, with a failure to develop basic trust reflected in an obvious or concealed paranoid stance toward life. They exaggerate the destructive potential of their anger, perceive women as being invasive, possessive and controlling and lack basic sexual knowledge. Differences with the dynamics of the other male sexual dysfunctions are outlined. The successful treatment outcome in eight cases was greatly influenced by the partner's personality.

[Clinical effectiveness of beta-adrenoblockers and their effects on copulative function in patients with hypertension].

Twenty four hour blood pressure and ECG monitoring, assessment of sexual function (questionnaires, penile artery Doppler flowmetry) were carried out in male hypertensives treated with atenolol, metoprolol, or bisoprolol. Compared with atenolol and metoprolol bisoprolol was found to be more effective and safe. The use of bisoprolol was associated with no negative changes and even with improvement of some parameters of sexual function. Sildenafil could be used for correction of male sexual dysfunction occurring during treatment with other beta-blockers.

[Apparatus Aeltis-Synchro-02-"Yarilo" and vacuum laser therapeutic urologic massager AMVL 01-"Yarovit in the treatment of chronic prostatitis complicated with copulation disfunction].

There are three directions in pathogenetic treatment of chronic prostatitis (CP) which is conducted in parallel to etiotropic one (antimicrobial): general immunological; improving arterial inflow and venous outflow; creation of prostatic secretion outflow and that of seminal vesicles by means of contractions of the pelvic and perineal muscles, muscular fibers of the prostatic gland. The latter two directions can be managed with physiotherapy. It is proposed to use combination of drugs with physiotherapy conducted by means of the devices [see text].

Oltipraz treatment in experimental schistosomiasis mansoni. II. Effect of high dose oral therapy on worm load and process of copulation in infected mice.

A single oral dose of 500 mg/kg body weight of Oltipraz was given to mice experimentally infected with the Egyptian strain of S. mansoni. The drug caused significant reduction in the number of worms and marked reduction in the percentage of paired worms in comparison to the infected untreated controls. This reduction in number was apparent after 5 days, 7 days and 2 days from Oltipraz administration, then the number gradually increased with elapsed time till the 60th day after therapy (the end of the work). The previous findings might indicate development of resistance to Oltipraz among the Egyptian strain of S. mansoni worms with prolongation the period of worms exposure to the drug.
