Integrating the Internet into health administration education: a report from AUPHA's Faculty Internet integration task force.

HRSA funded a survey to determine what Internet resources would be most useful to AUPHA membership. This manuscript describes the Internet-intensive survey methodology, reports the survey results, and lists the task force recommendations. The task force used sequential questionnaires posted on the Web to gather both potentially useful Internet resource ideas and membership perceptions of the importance of each idea. Resources recommended by survey participants and the Task Force members emphasized potential improvements to the AUPHA and AUPHA-member Web pages.

Achieving river integrity through natural resource management and integrated catchment management legislative frameworks.

This paper reports on a project which further refines a model legislative framework first identified in a Land and Water Australia project in 1999. This framework is benchmarked against legislative excerpts from within Australian jurisdictions, as well as the major policy initiatives of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) water reform agenda, the Commonwealth's National Action Plan on Salinity and Water Quality, and others. The model framework has been heavily influenced by current thinking on ecological systems, good governance, and organisational management. Another important product of the report is a statement of model statutory objectives and principles, suitable for use in water resource legislation.

A question of integrity. Federal prosecutors question Tenet's compliance with integrity agreement in a $323 million False Claims Act lawsuit.

Tenet Healthcare Corp.'s carefully groomed reputation as a kinder and cleaner for-profit hospital chain alternative took another hit last week when the U.S. Justice Department filed a $323 million lawsuit against the company. The False Claims Act suit alleges Tenet illegally submitted thousands of false claims to maximize revenue. Lawyer Michael Ruggio says Tenet's troubles are far from over.
