[Nursing process in advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation].

The process male nurse is a systematic and organized method to offer effective and efficient cares guided to the achievement of solving real problems of health, reducing the incidence and the duration. It is organized and systematic for that consists of five sequential and interrelated steps: Valuation, diagnostic, planning, execution and evaluation, in which are carried out interrelated actions, thought to maximize the long term results. The nurse process is based on the notion that the success of the cares is measured by the degree of effectiveness and the degree of satisfaction and the patient's progress. Applying this method in the Advanced Cardiac Live Support (ACLS) the identification of a cardiovascular or cardiopulmonary urgency was achieved that implies advanced treatment of the air road, defibrillation and appropriate medications to the circumstances. The ACLS challenges the nurses in charge from the patient's attention to make decisions quick low pressure and in dramatic scenes. Reason why it develops the flowing process male nurse in the advanced cardiopulmonary reanimation due to the incidence of these events in the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chávez, which should guarantee the benefit of services in basic and advanced cardiopulmonary reanimation for personal with a high formation level in all the units of intensive cares and services of hospitalization in integrated form and stratified this way to avoid that it progresses to situations that cause the death or leave irreversible sequels since in the central nervous system the time it is a factor critical for the treatment of this events.

Classification of nursing statements based on the ICNP, the HHCC, and the nursing process for use in electronic nursing records.

The purposes of this study were to identify nursing-phenomena-related statements and nursing-action- related statements for use in nursing records, to link nursing statements for the nursing process, to develop integrated nursing terms using the ICNP, to identify new terms for inclusion, and to group statements using the HHCC in a user interface. We extracted 5,133 nursing-phenomena-related statements and 3,844 nursing-action-related statements, with the former including 233 nursing diagnoses. A total of 2791 nursing terms were mapped and 287 new terms were developed. Synonyms of 827 standard nursing terms were extracted. We developed trees of nursing statements using the HHCC for the user interface in an electronic nursing record. The quality of nursing documentation and the nursing performance improved with the standardization process.

The nursing process: raising the profile of emotional care in nurse training.

This paper reports on the results of a previous investigation into the ward learning environment for student nurses and its relationship to quality of nursing. The emotional aspects of caring associated with the nursing process emerged as an important component of their relationship. The nursing process, introduced during the 1970s, is described as both a philosophy and work method. As a philosophy, it promotes a people-centred rather than task-centred approach to patients and raises the profile of emotional care. Hochschild's definition and analysis of emotional labour in the workplace is used as a conceptual means to understanding the content of nurses' emotional work. It is also used to assess the extent to which the predominant ideologies of nursing, articulated through the nursing process, were applied in the selection and training of nurses to be emotional labourers. It is concluded that the nursing process is more successful as an ideology and less in providing a knowledge base with which to inform training and support for managing complex feelings.

Nurses' attitudes towards the nursing process.

The attitudes of qualified nursing staff towards the nursing process were studied. Three distinct nursing units received varying degrees of planning and education regarding the principles and practice of the nursing process. The attitudes of the nursing staff of these units were assessed by means of a 20-item questionnaire. Statistically significant differences (P less than 0.001) between the mean attitude scores for the three units were found, but comparison of the overall mean attitude scores for the three grades of nurses within each unit did not result in statistical significance (P greater than 0.35). Further analysis indicated that a structured educational programme was beneficial in creating a positive attitude towards the nursing process whereas a less structured approach had the opposite effect.

Development of the nursing process through action research.

Implementation of the nursing process in practical nursing can be achieved in accordance with the principles of action research. A pre-requisite of the action research is a knowledge of the basic principles and the component areas of the nursing process, and of the opportunities for applying the nursing process to practical work. The documentation of the nursing of the patient is one clear object in which the model of the nursing process takes concrete shape. Another prominent form of action is the analysis of the content of the nursing, and on the basis of this framework the needs of individual patients can be determined and evaluated. Important methods in action research are consulting and work guidance. The researcher, together with the workers, endeavours to develop the work of nursing and to seek opportunities and methods to carry out the nursing process model.
