Dentistry down-under.

Abstract

It was with some trepidation that I entered into private practice in the City of Perth, Western Australia. I had left behind a collapsing NHS style of dentistry in England, where the average high street dentist has to work increasingly harder and faster to maintain the same salary, with barely time for luxuries such as leisurely consultations with patients or experimenting with new equipment or materials.
