Notes on the surgical management of Meckel's diverticulum in the light of 32 personal cases are presented. Stress is laid on the advisability of making a systematic search for this form during laparotomy and the removal on principle of even apparently unimpaired diverticula as a means of avoiding the very frequent and serious complications that may arise when diverticula are left in situ.
