Bilateral dacryops.

Abstract

The clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic findings of a case of bilateral dacryops is reported in a 49-year-old man. The patient presented with cystic masses located in superior lateral orbits and underwent bilateral excisions of these without any postoperative complications.

Ultrasonic "honeycomb" appearance of uterine submucous fibroids undergoing cystic degeneration.

Uterine fibroids are the most common of uterine benign tumors. Generally, the ultrasonic appearance of uterine fibroids is typical, and diagnosis is uncomplicated. However, the sonographic characteristics of fibroids undergoing cystic degeneration, and especially those of the submucous type, may be misleading. We present a series of submucous fluids with cystic degeneration in peri- and postmenopausal women showing a distinct sonographic "honeycomb" pattern erroneously diagnosed as endometrial hyperplasia. The correct diagnosis was established by hysteroscopy.

Foetal and neonatal splenic cyst-like lesions. US follow-up of seven cases.

Seven cases of small, asymptomatic splenic cyst-like lesions (CLL) diagnosed in foetuses and neonates are reported. None of these CLL was operated on; three completely disappeared. Such a complete regression has never been described before. A more conservative app approach to such lesions is suggested in order to prevent the possible complications of inappropriate interventional therapy.
