Abstract

Prior to conducting a full-fledged security survey in order to meet requirements of JCAHO and other agencies, it is essential to conduct an initial audit that will assess your hospital's vulnerability. The information from this audit can guide and direct the survey process. This article describes what is involved in preparing for the initial audit and includes a sample security audit report.
