Abstract
As hospitals encounter increasing fiscal problems, the demand for high quality health care escalates. Health care providers and reviewing organizations are trying to define and measure quality in all areas, and they are finding ways to increase efficiency, reduce lawsuits and enjoy other less tangible benefits.
