[Development of child psychotherapy in Europe].

The author, by starting from the definitional delimitation of psychotherapy and education, gives a brief description of the history of pedopsychotherapy from early beginnings through to the present time. This particular form of therapy has become varied in both its theories and methods. The present trend of development of pedopsychotherapy is characterized by patient-oriented multidimensional treatment of mental disease rather than classical analysis. An exact separation of education and psychotherapy is presently made for didactical reasons only, but is no longer possible in actual practice.

[Extreme psychogenic shock states in childhood].

An attempt is made in this paper to describe a syndrome consequent upon extreme psychogenic shock situations, which has been observed in a number of children. This syndrome is characterized by panic, flight, and anxiety during the actual event, which are followed by a relatively prolonged period of exclusion from consciousness of painful memories. Besides, there may be observed neurotic symptoms manifesting themselves in a decrease in proficiency level, refusal to establish contacts with other people, and mental digestion of the events. Assimilation of the events by intensive psychotherapy seems to be possible within about six months. Also discussed in this paper is the problem of actual neurosis and the origin of preconscious repression.

[The social integration of disorded children and juveniles. Aspects of the medical, socialpsychiatric and therapeutic pedagogies (author's transl)].

The general principles in the treatment of the disordered, is the change from segregation to social integration. The allocation of financial resources is necessary for the needed conditions, that means, that instead of the traditional institutions but mostly the ambulatory institutions, an early apprehension therapy should be financed. The seriousness in the treatment next to the specific facilities for the disordered, is the individual psychic help needed in regard to the secondary psychic problems, as a result of his disorder, also the socialization of the disordered should be advanced. Social organizations for disordered, as well as the parents of disordered children have a very important task, but the organizations can only fullfill the work in cooperation with a municiple care system.

[Current problems of childhood and juvenile neuropsychiatry].

In the submitted study a short historical review intends to point out the roots and mode of formation proceeding the new medical branch "Neuropsychiatry for children and juvenils", trying to emphasize interdisziplinary work as basic point of conception. Aspects in regard to the development of higher human functions will be discussed in the second part of the paper, whereby the common approach of Neurophysiologist and psychoanalytical oriented Psychologist accentuated is. In connection with the therapeutical consequences of such physio- and psychological development consideration questions regarding the neuropsychiatric welfare service for children and juveniles will be taken.
