[Palmoplantar and disseminated porokeratosis: immunohistochemical study].

We present a new case of porokeratosis plantaris palmaris et disseminata (PPPD), observe in it a histological picture of cornoid lamella in palms, soles, arms, legs and trunk. In this dermatosis, mediant lectins and involucrin to establish keratinocytes alteration. The immunohistochemical studies have reveals not normal formation in the envelope cornea, and fundamentally D-galactose show a marked diminution in the cell membrane.

[Ultrastructural study of a case of argyria].

The authors studied by transmission electron microscopy a case of cutaneous argyria. Found round and oval forms into which there are a silver granules forming rings. Those images sequencied permit hypothesized that the winning of the solved silver by phagocytes into which are precipitate and eliminate out of the cell.

[Lectin staining of a Merkel cell tumor].

The authors studied a Merkel's cell tumor with lectins. There is pattern of normal epidermis, but we see the N-acetyl-glucosamine an oligosaccharide not present in epidermis.

[The Cu/Zn index in cutaneous tumors with X-ray microanalysis].

Cu and Zn are two important elements, in straight relation with some malignancies. We have studied a group of patients with several types of cutaneous tumours and we have determined the values of both elements in serum and tumour tissues. The Cu/Zn ratio is in relation to the bigger or lesser malignity of process.

[Plantar myofibromatosis].

A case of recurrent plantar myofibromatosis is described, in which myofibroblasts are shown ultrastructurally. The characteristics and properties of this presence in different types of fibromatosis are discussed.

[Langerhans cell population in basal cell epitheliomas].

The authors studied the distribution of Langerhans cells in 42 cases of basal-cell epithelioma using monoclonals antibodies OKT6 and anti-HLA-Dr. The tumors are grouped in anatomopathologic subtypes. An increase of density of Langerhans cells is observed in the upper-tumoral epidermis. In the tissue tumour, the Langerhans cells are scarce, and we find a higher number of Langerhans cells in the peritumoral dermis.

[Hodgkin's disease of the skin].

The authors study a case of Hodgkin's disease type Rye III with specific infiltration of the skin. In cutaneous biopsy we find Reed-Stenberg cells. With treatment the cutaneous lesion diminishes without disappearing. A discussion is made about the Hodgkin's disease and its relation with lymphomatoid papulosis and its differential diagnostic with cutaneous lymphomas and the pathogenic way of cutaneous infiltration.

[Clinical features of carotinemia].

We describe two cases of yellowish pigmentation of the skin (xanthodermia). The first case is called carotenemia and the second case is called lycopaenemia. This condition of carotenemia had been earlier described under the names "aurantiasis" and "carotenosis" cutis. We have put emphasis on the clinical description and on principal foods that cause this alteration. The carotenoids occur in all green vegetables and specially carrots and fruit.

[Argyria].

A case of generalized argyria is reported a clinical study and literature review is made. The ultraestructural findings permit to establish a hypothesis on the silver grains morphology.
