[Possibility of using a pedicle flap made from the musculus latissimus dorsi for cardiopexy].

Myocardiopexy is an expedient operation for a deep sclerotic injury to the coronary vessels. In the experiments on 8 human cadavers and 24 animals the authors developed the technic of cutting out and transposition of pedicle grafts from the broadest muscle of the back to the heart. Various methods of pathomorphologic and functional investigations have proved the connection existing between the vessels of the graft and those of myocardium. This connection prevents the death of animals from myocardiac infarction following ligation of the right coronary artery above the zone of myocardiopexy.

[Anatomical and technical possibilities for the restoration of blood flow in the inferior mesenteric artery].

As a result of the analysis of interrelationship between the inferior mesenterial artery trunk and upper mesenterial artery and its intestinal branches, as well as a comparison of the diameter and length of the mentioned vessels on 73 cadavers of adult persons of both sex, in most cases (in 66 of 73) there was noted an association of favourable in position and parameters conditions for anastomosing the inferior mesenterial artery. In experiments on 17 human cadavers different variants of revascularization of the left colon were accomplished.

[Combined effect of microwave and ionizing radiation].

The response of different physiological systems to ionizing radiation as modified by UHF irradiation of nonthermal intensity was investigated. The experimental rats were exposed to electromagnetic irradiation of the power flux density (PFD) 200 microW/cm2 30 min daily for 8 days and the next day they were exposed to single total-body gamma-irradiation at a dose of 5.5 Gy. Pre-exposure to UHF irradiation reduced 1.5 times the mortality rate of the test animals as compared to the controls. Immunobiological examinations revealed a significant increase of the stimulation index in the mitogen (PHA) induced lymphocyte blast-transformation reaction and a decrease of the autopatch count. The motor activity of the rats exposed for 20 min to gamma-irradiation at a dose of 0.34 Gy and the next day to UHF irradiation (PFD = 40 microW/cm2) for 1 and 5 min remained essentially unchanged. The imprinting of the chicks irradiated in early embryogenesis for 5 min with UHF (PFD = 40 microW/cm2) and then with gamma-rays at a dose of 0.36 Gy was disrupted.
