Pathogenesis of extreme states during hypoxic hypoxia, exogenic and combined hyperthermia, aerial and immersion hypothermia is mainly associated with deterioration of reactivity and decline of functional reserves of the neuroendocrinal system, energetic dysbalance against more pronounced signs of anaerobic catabolism and recruitment of plastic resources of the body, activation of peroxide oxidation of lipids (POL), depletion of AOS potential with labilization of cellular membranes, and progressing changes in structural and functional relations within the antigenous/structural homeostasis. The determinacy of extreme state is influenced by initial status of the body functioning. The bodily extreme state has been found to depend on severity of asthenisation, peculiarities of the autonomous regulation, metabolic and immune status. Partial or full reversibility of decompensation disorders distinguishes extreme state from the critical (predeterminal) one. The relative adequacy of compensation and the principal possibility of a beneficial result are the necessary conditions for extreme state verification. Otherwise, in the lack of time for effective compensation typical syndromes of critical states may develop already during acute adaptation. There can develop partial insufficiency of a dominating functional system which will be compensated at the sacrifice of other organs and tissues. Sometimes extreme state may result in development of marginal or pathological states with human living activities preserved.

Results of research in central regulation system's disorders in the local wars' participants suffering from environmental psychoemotional and traumatic stress. It has been established, that there was an upsetting of interaction between neurodynamic processes in the sub-dominant hemisphere and a reduction of the functional reserve of the brain. Neurophysiology disorders discovered come from the pathological system that had been formed up in the central nervous system preserve their persistence for several years after the war.
Profiles of external respiration and circulation, self-assessment of health, mental performance, sensory functions, and peripheral blood were studied in patients with neurocirculatory dystonia in the course of normobaric hypoxic training. The hypoxic training proved to successfully normalize arterial pressure, eliminate cardiac arrhythmias, and benefit general condition. Substantial strengthening of hypoxic resistance was stated along with an oxygen debt reduction during hypoxia, improvement of sensory coordination and mental performance, and activation of erythropoiesis.

Optimal solution of the personnel replenishment problem, the necessity of training and education process improvement in the training centers and schools, the outcome of social, psychological and medical measures greatly depend on the overall physical and mental health state of the servicemen and their professional training quality. On the basis of their long standing experience the authors discuss the traits of the psychophysiological maintenance of the military professional activities of servicemen, in particular--the methodology and theory of professional psychological selection, the importance of body functional indications for the estimation of the fighting capabilities of military units. They examine some prospects for the psychophysiological expertise in the promotion procedures of commanding officers and make a suggestion that psychophysiological maintenance in the Armed Forces would increase its combat capabilities and help to avoid some negative effects in military groups.
Study of apoptosis is a new stage in development of biomedical sciences. At the cellular level the process is realised on account of efferents supporting an equilibrium among proliferation, differentiation, and programmed cell death. Significance of each of the factors is determined by its role in physiological systems functioning. Cell death infringement may cause pathological conditions and diseases followed by both degenerative and proliferative changes.
The questions of continuity in "polyclinic-hospital" link in practical plan are decided not enough: there are not enough managing documents, are not developed the uniform indications to stationary treatment of scheduled patients and patients with urgent condition, are away uniform sights on structure and volume of operative interventions in polyclinic and hospital. There is no unification diagnostic standards, there are the distinctions in registration of the conclusions, that results the duplication of researches. Duration of expectation terms of hospitalization by number of fields patients remains dragged on. The integration in connection "polyclinic-hospital" requires the uniform installations on organization of treatment with use of standardized schedules, ordering of consulting, sharp planning of discharge and admission of the patients to the hospital, improvements of the medical documentation, strengthening of the organizing roles of the leader-clinicians, increase of professional preparation of the doctors, especially polyclinical link. The realization of an offered complex of the measures does not require any serious economic expenses.
The necessity of psychophysiological correction and rehabilitation in the units is caused by peculiarities of called in Armed Forces contingent, the decrease of opportunities of adaptation in the part of the servicemen by virtue of individual peculiarities, after diseases and traumas, and also in result of adverse influence on the organism of the factors of military labour--extreme physical and mental loads, inhabitation of the objects of military engineering and arms, climatogeographic zones and others. In result of researches is established, that almost in 90% of servicemen, working at the extreme conditions and with which psychophysiological correction was carried out, were improved subjective state of health, interpersonal relations in collective, sleep was normalized.
Experimental verification of prostatilen prophylactics of changes in the urogenital organs consequent to g-loads was the idea of the work. The experiment was performed with 37 mongrel white male rats weighing 200-250 g who were exposed to the head-pelvis g-loads (+Gl) at 10 units. Behavior reactions of the rats were assessed with the "open field" technique immediately after centrifugation; weighing coefficients of the urogenital organs (the organ/body mass relation) were determined, and histological and morphometric analyses of prostate, testis and kidney were made. A significant moderating effect of prophylactic prostatilen on the stress-reactions in animals was first revealed; prostatilen was also found to speed up adaptation. This was concluded from normalization of the hemodynamics, a decrease in venous plethora and epithelial dystrophy, absence of basophilia in conjunctive tissue of the urogenital organs. Distention and overfilling of acini by secret and the number of epithelial acinus hulled into the lumen were markedly less in prostate. Spermatogenesis in testis was normalized, too. The histological profile of kidney approached the norm. Results of the experiment showed that prostatilen is a promising preparation from the standpoint of moderation of stress-reactions and counteraction of disorders in the urogenital organs caused by g-loads.
Through 12 hours of work the operators of command-measuring complexes had initial signs of exhaustion, showed them-self by decrease of health state, activity, mood, increase of latent period of simple sensorimotor reaction. These changes of a functional condition had no effect on quality of fulfillment of target problems. At the end of daily duty exhaustion, described by deterioration of health state, increase of operators' anxiousness, rapid pulse, reduction of time of delay of breath, increase of time of instability of sensorimotor reactions, amount of faulty actions, reduction of speed of mental processes and distribution of attention were developed.
