[The mathematical modelling and computation of the stressed-deformed state of metal-ceramic dentures].

The SPLEN-K (INZOMA) computing system, based on the mathematical model of a heterogeneous elastic body with linear plastic reinforcement helps estimate the design of coated dentures with due consideration for the individual features of the jaws and teeth, articulation, and occlusion. The open module type of this system permits its modifications and improvements, allows introduction of individual changes in the planned denture design, helps rapidly estimate the changes in the strained-deformed state and assess the correctness of the result from the computed data. The reliability of estimations was assessed in special tests. Practical results of theoretical studies are adequate to clinical and experimental data.

[The biological compatibility of the new noble alloy Superpal for metal-ceramic dentures].

Toxic characteristics of Superpal, a dental palladium-based alloy for cermet dentures, were studied in a chronic experiment on 20 rats to which it was subcutaneously implanted. Analysis of histological findings, blood biochemistry, mast cell degranulation test, summarization of subthreshold pulses, and the micronucleus test showed that Superpal alloy is biologically inert, nontoxic, exerts no sensitizing and mutagenic effects, and may be used for making cement dentures.

[The clinical evaluation of the use of metal ceramic dentures with a Simet glass-ceramic coating].

Good results of clinical follow-up of patients with cermet dentures coated with cimet (glass ceramic) permit recommending this type of coating for wide practical use. Reconstructive prosthetics with glass ceramic and metal and cermet dentures should involve denture modeling in the articulator and a prophylactic check-up at least once a year with oral hygiene and functional occlusion control.

[Dental prosthesis using immediate implants].

The authors emphasize the role of implantation in recovery of the maxillodental morphology and function and in the prevention of denture involvement in cases with removal of a tooth. Specific features of prostheses after direct implantation (implantation into removed tooth or root well) are described. Advantages of immediate implantation over delayed are enumerated.

[The effect of a biogenic paste containing hydroxyapatite on the dynamics of the bone integration of immediate implants].

The effect of a biogenic paste containing hydroxylapatite and collagen on the course of bone integration of implants inserted in the hole immediately after tooth or root extraction was studied in dog experiments. Histologic examination has revealed accelerated osteogenesis round the implant in experimental animals vs. the reference ones. This fact permits a conclusion that application of the biogenic paste will be conducive to a more rapid and effective taking in of the implant and, therefore, to a sooner prosthesis.
