[The practical trend in exams in dermatology and venereology].

Three colored photo tests are given to a student at the examination in dermatology and venereology. Practical skills of the students are checked up at bedside. Such an examination is remarkable for its practical trend; it involves elements of diagnostic search and develops clinical thinking.

[A rare localization of erysipeloid].

A female patient aged 56 is described, suffering from a cutaneoarticular form of erysipeloid, that developed after application of raw fat at the site of injury to the third toe of the left foot. The process completely regressed within a week after a single intake of sulfalene in a dose of 2.0 g.

[Clinical variants of herpes zoster].

The clinical course of herpes zoster has been analysed in 132 in-patients and a variety of the clinical forms shown which were initially disguised as the internal diseases. In addition to typical variants, the following types of herpes zoster have been found: gangrenous, bullous, hemorrhagic and disseminated.

[Mondor's disease].

A 29-year-old patient suffering from Mondor's disease is described. This case is remarkable for the presence of two fragments of subcutaneous cords in the thoracic and abdominal area. Administration of indomethacin for 2 weeks has been fairly effective.

[Paraneoplastic gangrenous-bullous herpes zoster].

A female patient aged 65 is described. Two years after mastectomy for right-side mammary carcinoma she developed herpes zoster round the cicatrix; this condition anticipated metastases. The patient died of cancerous cachexia in 3 months after gangrenous herpes zoster.
