Factors of risk to develop hypoacusis in noisy environment were put to the correlation analysis which showed their pathogenetic significance in the internal ear cochlear affections.

337 mechanics exposed to chemical and physical hazards while servicing subway trains were examined for ENT status. Abnormalities were registered in 87.5% of the examinees. Frequent isolated and combined affections of the nose and pharynx occurred as a rule with mucosal dystrophy. Allergic conditions were not evident. 58 patients with hearing defects had cochlear neuritis of occupational origin. Prophylactic measures are proposed: individual aids protecting hearing organ and respiratory tracts, improved routine medical examinations with indication of the risk groups.
