[Computed tomographic studies in cervical spinal stenosis].

Computed tomography was applied in 29 patients with cervical spinal stenosis. In 8 cases there was a congenital narrowed spinal canal. In 18 cases we found dorsal spondylotic ridges of the vertebral bodies and in three cases an atlanto-dental dislocation. The complaints showed either radicular character or in case of myelopathy came out as para- and quadriplegia. In 25 cases the spinal sagittal diameter was a lot below a critical borderline of about 13 mm. The kind and localisation of the underlying process can be demonstrated very excellent by computed tomography.

[Demonstration of cerebral complications in internal diseases and in drug therapy by computerized tomography].

If the central nervous system is affected in internal diseases or during drug therapy accompanied by lesions within the cerebral tissue, there will be normally found changes in cranial computed tomography. 14% of our cranial scans have been done of patients from internal wards. Among these patients 10 cases have been elected to review the typical findings. In particular neurological complications are described in cardio-vascular and hematological diseases, in insufficiency of liver and kidney as well as in therapy with anticoagulants, fibrinolytics and cytostatics.

[Metatypical basaloma. A case report].

Report of a female patient with a so-called metatypical carcinoma of big size causing destruction of the facial skull and penetration into the cerebral frontal lobe. After classification of the metatypical carcinoma into the group of basalioma tumors similar computertomographic patterns of different origin are pointed out.

[The informative value of diagnostic methods in chronic headache. A study of 112 cases (author's transl)].

A thorough neurological diagnostic investigation was carried out in 112 patients with chronic headache existing for an average of 14 years, using a case history questionnaire we had designed for the purpose. Apart from the history and clinical examination, the program included X-ray negatives, angiography, computer tomography, sequence scanning, electroencephalogram and echoencephalogram. Migraine was the most common diagnosis (54.5%). Three cases in which admission to a ward was necessary for more detailed examination are described and demonstrated with reference to neuroradiological illustrative material.
