Double duty. Using the laser log as a quality assurance tool.
1. Analysis of the information contained in the laser log allows for the development of an educational program based on specific needs. 2. The problem for many laser nurses is how to design a laser log so it can be used as an efficient quality assurance tool. 3. To design an efficient log, one must first consider what aspects of the laser program need evaluation and then develop a log accordingly. 4. A laser education program can be tailored to specific needs as determined by an analysis of the laser use in the operating room.
