[The microcirculatory function and immune status indices of patients with rheumatic heart defects combined with pulmonary hypertension].

Blood microcirculation and immunity were studied in 52 patients with rheumatic valve disease associated with pulmonary hypertension. The most pronounced changes were observed in patients with "active" pulmonary hypertension. Microcirculatory and immune disorders are likely to be pathogenetical factors aggravating prognosis of pulmonary hypertension.

[The potentials of the day hospital in treating peptic ulcer patients at the polyclinic stage].

The authors present data on the treatment of patients with uncomplicated ulcer disease over the period of exacerbation of the illness in the setting of an inpatient day care establishment attached to a polyclinic. With patients having ulcer healing within the same time range after treatment at the gastroenterological versus day-care inpatient institution the latter option is more advantageous for the state since is 3.8 times less costly. Such an option is recommended to be more widely used in the treatment of patients with ulcer disease in practical health care.

[Hemodynamic changes in the greater and lesser circulations of patients with a mitral heart defect and primary pulmonary hypertension under the influence of differentiated treatment].

The state of the greater and lesser hemodynamics in patients with rheumatic mitral heart disease complicated by pulmonary hypertension was analyzed after treatment with peripheral vasodilators and hemosorption. It is suggested that inclusion of hemosorption in the treatment complex favoured reduction of the degree of pulmonary hypertension, improvement of the central hemodynamics which may be directly related to improvement of the rheological properties of the blood.

[The physical work capacity of patients with neurocirculatory dystonia and the early ventricular repolarization syndrome].

A total of 35 patients with neurocirculatory dystonia (NCD) presenting with a syndrome of early repolarization of ventricles (SERV), who comprised the principal group, were studied for an effect of the syndrome under conditions of the bicycle ergometer [correction of veloergometer] exercise test on EKG as well as on the indices for physical performance. The results obtained were compared to those in 32 NCD cases without SERV signs (control group) and 20 essentially healthy subjects. NCD SERV cases, while in bicycle ergometry [correction of veloergometry], developed depression up to the isometric line of the elevated St-segment, and in a portion of cases it was 0.5--1 mm under the isoline with subsequent restoration of EKG findings to the baseline level after the cessation of the test. SERV occurrence in NCD patients did not influence exercise tolerance, increments of heart rate, arterial blood pressure and indices for "double product" under bicycle ergometric [correction of veloergometric] testing. Pattern of changes in the above indices depended, for the most part, on the condition of the baseline vegetative tone.
