The use of a 1% fluore gel, for ten minutes every day during the irradiation period and after that twice a week, constitutes an excellent protection for the good teeth located in the Tele-Coblat irradiation area. This will avoid the systematic ablation of the good teeth.

A patient with the clinical stigmata of gonadal dysgenesis is presented. Cytogenetic investigations revealed two distinct structural chromosome rearrangements. One of these, an isochromosome for the long arm of the X, proved to be a dicentric element following C-banding. The second abnormality, an inherited familial marker, was a pericentric inversion of No. 2 [(inv 2) (p15q21)].
Cytogenetic investigations were carried out on cord blood lymphocytes of 500 normal healthy newborns. This population was divided into seven geoethnic groups according to the birthplace of the four grandparents of the infant. No numerical chromosomal aberrations were observed, but 10% of the individuals manifested cytogenetic variants. Six inherited structural abnormalities (four inversions and two deletions) were observed, while the remainder were classified as "minor variants." The chromosomal variants were randomly distributed among the population, and no particular variant was characteristic of a given subgroup.
