Pyogenic granuloma is a common reactive lesion seen in the third decade of life, generally between 1 and 2 cm in size. It may be confused clinically with malignancy. It is treated by surgical excision, and recurrence is rare.
A case of dentigerous cyst in the maxillary sinus of a 16-year-old boy is reported due to its unusual presentation and extensive nature.
A case ov bilateral intra-articular ankylosis with micrognathia is reported, with the most likely etiology considered to be continuous trauma over the chin during the first month of life.
Idiopathic gingival enlargement is a rare condition of undetermined etiology, although some cases have definite hereditary basis. It affects entire gingivae in the form of small to large masses. It causes diastema, displacement and malocclusion of teeth. In severe cases it leads to poor esthetics, restricted movements of tongue, interference with speech, and difficulty in mastication.

Oral malignant melanoma is a rare aggressive neoplasm of middle age, has predilection for the palate and maxillary gingiva or alveolar ridge and about 1/3rd of these neoplasms may develop from existing melanosis. A case of malignant melanoma in a 55 year old male is being reported. The patient was treated surgically. It is emphasised that the presence of pigmented oral mucosa must alert the clinician to the possibility of malignant melanoma.
Central hemangioma is a rare vascular tumor of bone. When present in the head and neck region, it usually affects the vertebrae and skull: it very rarely affects the jaw bones. Its early detection and treatment are important as any minor trauma may result in fatal hemorrhage. A case of central hemangioma of the mandible is reported.
