350 cases of alveococcosis were examined with the use of clinical and generally available methods of laboratory analysis. This study helped to find out the characteristic symptoms of the disease and their incidence rate. A clinico-anatomical classification of alveoccoccosis, based on local and general manifestations, localization of a primary focus, anatomic form of the growth of an alveococcal node and the degree of its propagation in the liver parenchima, has been developed. The suggested classification promotes a correct construction of a detailed clinical diagnosis and complete solution of the problems of therapeutic tactics.

The problems of diagnosis and treatment of the disease are analysed basing on the experience with 26 observations of gallbladder cancer. According to the authors' opinion the progress could be achieved only in the complex exploration, including roentgenocontrast examination of biliary passages, duodenography under conditions of artificial hypotension, ultrasonic biolocation of the gallbladder, hepatoscanning, dynamic scannography, selective angiography and combined laparoscopy. As a result of the performed combined laparoscopy cancer of the gallbladder was diagnosed in 11 of 15 examined patients. Recommendations for surgical therapy are given.
