Contact dermatitis in children.
272 children up to the age of 14 years were patch tested during a 10-year period (1982-1991). 101 children (37.1%) gave positive reactions to 1 or more allergens. Of these, 54.4% (57/101), were considered relevant. The main allergens were, in order of frequency: nickel, rubber compounds, mercuric chloride, cobalt salts, thimerosal, benzoyl peroxide and fragrance mix.
Cutaneous lymphadenoma: a case report and review of the literature.
We report a case of cutaneous lymphadenoma, a tumour first described by Santa Cruz and Barr under the name of 'lymphoepithelial tumour'. Twenty-three cases have been reported to date. The commonest site is the head and neck, and it is most commonly diagnosed in the fourth and fifth decades. The usual clinical diagnosis is basal cell carcinoma. To date, no recurrences have been observed after local excision. The tumour is composed of dermal lobules with a biphasic pattern of epithelial and lymphoid cells. It has been suggested that it arises as a result of faulty interaction between lymphocytes and epithelial cells.

Incrusted cystitis after intravesical mitomycin C treatment.
Bladder wall calcification is a rare complication of intravesical therapy of superficial bladder cancer with Mitomycin C. A review of the literature revealed 2 other cases. We report a new case and discuss the pathogenic mechanism of this consequence of the intravesical treatment with Mitomycin C.

Congenital eccrine angiomatous hamartoma.
A case of congenital eccrine angiomatous hamartoma of the foot in a three-month-old girl is presented. Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma is a benign tumoral lesion that combines the proliferation of multiple benign eccrine structures and angiomatous channels. We review the literature on the subject.

[Biliary cysts. Resection of the protruding dome using celioscopy].
After giving the highlights on the few surgical indications of biliary cysts, the authors present a film of the resection of the protruding dome with celioscopy for an 80-mm cyst of the 3rd segment of the liver, in association with cholecystectomy for lithiasis. The simple technique and uncomplicated postoperative period emphasize the merits of this procedure, although this should not lead to inappropriate indications.
Lichen planus with simultaneous involvement of the oral cavity and genitalia.
Five women with reticular and/or erosive lichen planus of the oral cavity associated with mucous involvement of the genitalia are reported. The presence of a typical lesion in one of these sites requires search for other common sites of involvement as well as manifestations of systemic diseases. Early management and careful follow-up of patients with chronic erosive and atrophic lesions of the vulva should be instituted to prevent dyspareunia. The use of the term plurimucosal lichen planus instead of vulvo-vagino-gingival syndrome is proposed.
Remission of Sézary's syndrome with cyclosporin A. Mild capillary leak syndrome as an unusual side effect.
A case of Sézary syndrome treated with cyclosporin A is reported. A dramatic cutaneous improvement was obtained within a few days after initiation of treatment. Among the side effects produced were linear purpuric lesions in skin folds and friction areas.
[Netherton syndrome].
The authors reported a case of Netherton's syndrome. This patient presented cutaneous lesions of ichthyosis linearis circumflexa, tricorrexis invaginata and atopy signs associated with cystinuria. Cutaneous and hair lesions were treated with etretinate.
[Histopathological aspects of chromium ulcers].
The authors describe two cases of "cromeholes". Both patients were working in electroplating. The pathology of these lesions demonstrate that it refers to caustic ulcers with necrosis of the epidermis and superficial dermis, with tendency to hyperplasia of neighbouring epidermis and important infiltration of the vessels and specially of the sweat glands.
[Bullous dermatomyositis].
The authors present a case of bullous dermatitis with clinical and biological polymyositis. The cause of the blisters can be found in an intense oedema of the superficial and middle dermis and is favoured by liquefaction of the basal layer and fibrinoid degeneration of the superficial dermis. It is diagnosed as dermatomyositis with malignancy even though it has been impossible to confirm the nature of the tumor. The diagnosis is being argued with other diseases that occasionally are vesiculobullous.

[Adquired epidermolysis bullosa. Immunopathological and ultrastructural studies].
A case of epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA) in a 64 year old man is reported. The direct immunofluorescence showed a positive lineal anti IgG basement membrane on the affected skin (blisters and provocation tests) and on the univolved healthy skin. The electron microscopic studies showed a "dermolysis". In this patient it was not possible to find any pathological association. The EBA is usually associated with different processus but, sometimes, it could be isolated. Probably this clinicopathological field includes diverse badly delimited entities.
