The paper gives an account of Doppler analyzers of the velocity of blood flow, which are based on personal computers and discusses their construction and functional potentialities.
The paper deals with the automatic processing of a Doppler ultrasonic signal and with the development of the respective software. It outlines the theory of Doppler gram synthesis and the recognition algorithms for typical elements, which are based on the developed theory, for averaged summary blood flow and spectral image of the signal.
The paper outlines the problems in the analysis of basic trends in the development of current ultrasonic scanners. It shows that at present the architecture of ultrasonic signal-visualizing devices is being modified due to the wide introduction of progress in the technology of multi-media and to the development of specialized transducers designed for studying certain organs and regions of the human body.
The paper deals with the problems in the integration of diagnostic information obtained by various devices, suggests that this process should be implemented by local networks, considers the basic tasks arising with this approach, and gives how to solve some of them. It is shown that this approach can be applied when two basic subdivisions of a health institution: therapeutical and diagnostical--interact.
The paper discusses the problem of automation of the functional diagnostic service system on the basis of up-to-date informational technologies, gives recommendations on the minimum list of diagnostic procedures used for various service levels in medical institutions, outlines requirements for hard- and softwares needed for designing this system of integrated processing, provides specific recommendations on the structure of automatic complexes for the first two levels of functional diagnostic service.
The paper deals with the construction of a system to identify patients at risk for age-related diseases. The rationale for the system's structure is based on the ontogenetic theory of aging developed by V. M. Dilman. A phenomenological model of energy homeostasis, which takes into account the age-related circulatory changes has been developed by the author. The main balance equation characterizing the body's compensatory potentialities in response to age-related homeostatic changes.
The paper proposes a mathematical model of development of a cell population with a changing proliferative activity. The model is based on the Markov branching process with cells of several types. A procedure for identifying the constructed model by experimental evidence is being developed. An example of model construction and assessment for cultured diploid fibroblasts is given.
