A surgical technique has been developed for patients with defects of the ureter, which otherwise have been treated by the Davis operation. This technique has successfully been applied for defects of every part of the ureter, and even in a case of injury of the urethra.

Three cases of spontaneous rupture of the collecting system of the kidney are reported on. Organ-saving surgery was feasible in two of them. The etiology and treatment of spontaneous ruptures of the renal pelvis are discussed.
