After a summary of general specifications of Parinaud's syndrome the authors made a critical study according to 19 personal observations. They point to the aetiological interest of evolutive development of this syndrome when undergoing treatment for tumour and during the vascular malformations when fluctuations are an interesting clinical presumptive evidence.

[Effect of acute administration of antidepressive agents at 2 P.M. on plasma and pineal levels of melatonin in the rat].

The authors measured the effect of different antidepressant drugs on the pineal production of melatonin in order to see if this test can be used in an antidepressants screening protocol. Six antidepressant drugs belonging to different pharmacologic classes have been tested. The results show that all the molecules used enhance the plasmatic and pineal concentration of melatonin. However the selectivity of this test must be reinforced by using classical methods for the detection of an antidepressant effect.

[Acute psychoses and mood disorders in Parkinson disease. Role of antiparkinson therapy].

L-DOPA has progressively replaced atropinic substances in the treatment of the Parkinson's disease but its superiority is not evident in all domains. The same as these substances, it can occasion a secondary psychical pathology essentially presented by affective disorders and psychotic phenomena. The proposed study lays on the comparison between two parkinsonian groups, one undergoing a dopaminergic treatment the other one not. The hallucinary and confusing properties and to a lesser degree the depressive properties of L-DOPA are correlated to risk factors amongst which the average advanced age of the patients has the greatest place.
