A game can be educational in a non-threatening way. Games can help to build group cohesion. A fresh approach can allow complex topics such as HIV/AIDS to be explored from a different perspective.
A patient who developed a retropharyngeal abscess and fatal mediastinitis following emergent nasal intubation is described. Despite aggressive surgical therapy the patient died of mediastinitis. Although mediastinitis as a complication of oral intubation has been described, mediastinitis following nasal intubation has not previously been reported.

Health visitors using a traditional health visiting model while working in Tower Hamlets, east London, were unable to respond to the considerable health needs associated with housing problems, so they adapted and reframed the problems they faced. As a result they have developed a close working relationship with a team of housing solicitors who have provided housing training, and together they have set up a housing clinic which offers clients advice on health-related housing problems.
