[The course of pregnancy, labor and perinatal outcomes in females with extrapulmonary tuberculosis].

Ninety-six pregnant women and purperas with extrapulmonary tuberculosis were examined. A control comprised 120 apparently healthy females. The course of pregnancy, labor, and neonatality in women with genital tuberculosis was complicated: OPG gestosis, anemia, toxicosis of the first half of pregnancy, threatening miscarriage, premature and prompt labor, premature and early discharge of amniotic fluid, neonatal asphyxia. The frequency of complications of pregnancy, labor, and perinatal outcomes in females with extrapulmonary tuberculosis at other sites and in healthy pregnant women was pratically equal.

[Clinical characteristics of neonatal infants born to mothers with pulmonary tuberculosis].

Three hundred and seventy neonatal infants born by mothers with pulmonary tuberculosis were examined. A control group comprised 121 neonatal babies born by apparently healthy women. The infants born by ill mothers weighed less. In the study group, 142 (38.4%) babies with asphyxia were born. In infants born by mothers with active tuberculosis, birth asphyxia was observed 1.5 times as frequently as in those born by healthy mothers. In the control group, only 11 (9.1%) children with mild asphyxia were born. Neonatal compilations were noted in 137 (37.1%) infants of the study group, moreover almost equally frequently in babies born by mothers with both active and inactive tuberculosis, they were in 12 (9.9%) babies in the control group. In the latter group, malformations were detected only in 2 (1.7%) newborn babies, in the study one, they were in 46 (12.4%) infants, the mothers of these 15 (32.6%) infants had received specific therapy for tuberculosis in early pregnancy.

Morphofunctional changes in the placenta after ozone therapy.

Macro- and microscopic aspects in the morphology of placenta after ozone therapy were studied in pregnant women with placental insufficiency and the results were compared with the control group. In the main group, the placentas were smaller and weighed less. After ozone therapy enlargement of terminal villi with true syncytiocapillary membranes was noted. A stimulating effect of ozone therapy on the growth and differentiation of terminal villi was established.
