Reconstruction of the neck with two rotation-advancement platysma myocutaneous flaps.
A reconstruction of a neck with a defect caused by radionecrosis sequelae using two rotation-advancement platysma myocutaneous flaps is presented. The thinness of the flaps, their accessibility, the lack of bulk, and the primary closure of the donor site, without functional or aesthetic problems, all render this technique an attractive option for replacing anterior neck skin.

Refinements in the treatment of the superficial musculoaponeurotic system: the retroauricular flap and the zygomatic rolled flap.
In face lifts, we utilize the excess superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) tissue when dissection and traction are carried out. In 73 consecutive cases, the use of the zygomatic rolled flap and the retroauricular flap resulted in improved cosmetic results.

Muscle reconstruction in unilateral cleft lip.
The problem of muscle reconstruction in cleft lip repair is discussed. Two theories are posited concerning the direction of the muscular bundles of the orbicularis oris muscle. Five methods for muscle repair are presented. The adjacent muscles, use of the lateral muscles or those of both sides, and the mucous membrane are also discussed. We present our method of performing this type of reconstruction, using a Millard skin incision and layer-by-layer closure.
