[Extension of basal cell epitheliomas. Value of extemporaneous histological examination and bone scintigraphy (author's transl)].

Though basal cell epitheliomas present the advantage of lack of spread into lymph nodes and of having only local activity they can extend considerably both on the surface and in the deep tissues. Because of the difficulty in obtaining complete excision of recurrences the authors are prudent in their attitude and take all possible precautions during treatment of these lesions, including extemporaneous histological examinations and bone scintigraphy which appear to be indispensable.

[A simple immobilization procedure for alveolodental injuries (author's transl)].

In the case of partial or total luxations, or in alveolar fractures, the treatment consists in immobilisation of injured teeth. Since three years we use brackets on teeth's vestibular side joined by metallic wire. This technic very easy to use, gives good results (87% on 75 cases). It is the finest way for primary dentition.

[Anesthesia and postoperative care in reconstructive surgery of cranio-facial dysmorphias in children (about 100 cases) (author's transl)].

Hundred cases of anesthesia for surgery in craniofacial dysmorphias in children are reported. 40 children were below 2 years of age, 14 were 2-5 years old and 46 were 5 to 15 years old. Surgery was of 3-12 hours duration (mean: 5 h 30). The type of anesthesia given was either a neuroleptanalgesia or a narconeuroleptanalgesia. Per- and post-operative intensive cares are discussed. 7 complications occurred during surgery, 11 complications occurred during the post-operative course: the origin of those complications is discussed as well as their treatment.

[Reconstruction of the lacrimal ducts: results in a series of 102 cases (author's transl)].

Surgery of the lacrimal appartus falls into the realm of a paradox: paradoxical because of the means employed to repair an excretory apparatus which is not absolutely indispensable; paradoxical because of the great difficulty encountered in assessing results in operated patients with: obstruction without weeping or; weeping without obstruction. The indication for operation is related to two factors: that of the act itself--valid in new lesions, debatable in old lesions, doubtful in relapses; that of the technique used, which in the authors' view is mainly a function of the state of the lacrimal sac. An objective analysis of a series of 102 cases strengthened the authors' opinions but with a feeling of circumspection tainted with deception.
