[Reparative bone regeneration after aseptic necrosis of the femoral head as influenced by 1-chloromethylsilatrane treatment].

The aim of this work was to study the effect of 1-chloromethyisilatranum on the processes of reparative bone regeneration in experimentally induced aseptic femoral head necrosis. Aseptic femoral head necrosis was modeled in 4 Chinchilla rabbits by destruction of spongy substance of femoral neck and cutting of ligamentum teres of its head. Rabbits of the experimental group were injected with 0.4 ml of 1% solution of 1-chloromethylsilatranum on postoperational days 5, 10, 15 and 20 into the damaged femoral head and close to the damaged joint. Animal were sacrificed by air embolism 5 weeks from the start of an experiment. Necrotic and repair processes in hip joints from damaged and intact sides were assessed radiologically and histologically prior to sacrifice. In rabbits of both control and experimental groups extensive aseptic necrosis of hip joints was found. The osseous tissue of damaged hip joints of experimental animals contained the chains of osteoblasts actively producing new bone matrix. Foci of bone regeneration were found both in the deep and peripheral regions of the epiphysis, which is indicative of active processes of bone repair. The results obtained suggest that administration of organic-silicon drug 1-chloromethylsilatranum stimulates (optimizes) the processes of repair osteogenesis following aseptic femoral head necrosis in experimental animals. Application of this preparation appears to be very promising.

Effect of trekrezan on immunogenesis under experimental conditions.

We studied the dynamics of immune reactions to trekrezan in mouse pups after vaccination of adult mice during pregnancy and mouse pups at different terms after birth with Salmonella typhimurium 34-96. The preparation modulated activity of the immune system and stimulated antibody production in the pre- and postnatal period.

Hepatoprotective activity of 1-ethoxysilatrane and 1-isopropoxygermatrane.

1-Ethoxysilatrane and 1-isopropoxygermatrane stimulated liver regeneration via activation of some components of the protein-synthesizing complex, in particular, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. Acylating activity of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases increased. Possible mechanisms of these changes are discussed.

[The antiatherosclerotic effects of a polysaccharide from raw animal stock].

The data obtained showed that the polysaccharide diminished the blood levels of cholesterol, beta-lipoproteins, and triglycerides, the concentrations of cholesterol in the liver and thoracic aorta in experimental atherosclerosis. It is concluded that the polysaccharide is promising in designing a new anti-atherosclerotic drug.

[Solcoseryl: Ulcerostatic effect and possible mechanisms].

It is shown that the level of DNA, RNA, collagen, non-collagen proteins, hexoses and glycosaminoglycans is changed when making the experimental gastric ulcer in rats. Solcoseryl stabilises the level of DNA, RNA and collagen, stimulating the reparation processes in ulcer.

[Isopropoxyhermatran--a stimulant of hepatocyte regeneration].

It was shown that isoproxihermatran (IPH) (40 mg/kg) administered intraperitoneally in rats with lobectomy of heparin stimulates development of hepatocytes' dimensions and decrease of oxygen transmission velocity through the mitochondrial membranes in this cells. Antioxidant properties of IPH have been detected. Stimulating activity of IPH at heparin secretion of bile.
