[Pregnancy and delivery in adolescents. Apropos of 112 case reports].
The authors studied the course of pregnancy in 112 adolescents under the age of 15 years 3 months seen over the last decade. 10% of pregnancies were marked by anaemia, 23% by excessive weight gain and 20% by toxaemia of pregnancy. Although the delivery is often premature, it is usually simple, with rapid labour and expulsion. Forceps were required in 8% of cases and the ventouse was used in 11% of cases. Epidural anaesthesia was performed in 50% of deliveries. Despite an almost normal pregnancy and a eutocic delivery, 21% of babies presented a malformation.
Ovary-oviduct distance and fertility experimental study, clinical application.
As the importance of ovary and fimbria relationships is well admitted in the phenomenon of oocyte captation, it has seemed interesting to the authors to try and evaluate, on an experimental plane, how fertility varies in function of ovary-fimbria distance, in view of possible therapeutic applications.
[Robinow's syndrome with dominant transmission].
Robinow syndrome in a mother and her 2nd male infant. Clinical and radiological findings were characteristic of this condition. Hands and spine were normal in the proband, but humerus were short. In this case, as in Robinow's first description, genetic transmission was autosomal dominant.
