[The apply of Cosmopost ceramic posts in clinic].

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the manufacture method and the effects of Cosmopost ceramic posts, to summarize the indications of Cosmopost ceramic post in clinic. METHODS: 228 pieces Cosmopost ceramic posts and cores were made for 96 patients. 2l7 pieces full ceramic crowns and 8 pieces full ceramic bridgs for Cosmopost ceramic posts and cores were made. The fitness of Cosmopost ceramic post were checked, and the color of all full ceramic crowns and full ceramic bridgs were checked in clinic. The amount of loosening and broken in all restorations were checked every year in clinic. follow up 2 - 3 years. RESULTS: 1 Cosmopost ceramic post was fracture about 1.5 mm before the full ceramic crown was worn. 227 pieces Cosmopost ceramic posts were perfect. All of the full ceramic crowns and bridgs for full ceramic posts were excellent in color. No loosening and broken cases were checked in 0.5 - 3 years. But the indications of Cosmopost ceramic posts were strict in clinic. CONCLUSION: Cosmopost ceramic post has natural aesthetic effect and good strength. it can be used in clinic.

Synthesis, crystal structure, and photoelectric properties of Re(CO)(3)ClL (L = 2-(1-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine).

A novel Re(I) complex, Re(CO)(3)ClL (L = 2-(1-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystal data for C(17)H(13)ClN(3)O(3)Re: space group, orthorhombic, Pbca; a = 12.713(6) A; b = 15.103(7) A; c = 18.253(8) A; Z = 8. Stable vacuum vapor deposition of the Re complex has been verified by UV-vis and infrared spectroscopy. A two-layer electroluminescent device with configuration of ITO/TPD/Re(CO)(3)ClL/Mg(0.9)Ag(0.1)/Ag has been fabricated, which gave a turn-on voltage of as low as 3 V and a maximum luminance of 113 cd/m(2) at a bias voltage of 10.5 V, and confirmed that the Re complex can function as a bright orange-red emitter and an electron transport material in an electroluminescent device.

[Interventional therapy combining Seed of Job's-stears with lipiodol for hepatoma-bearing rats].

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of the interventional therapy of hepatoma-bearing rat by Seed of Job's-stears (SJS) injection combining with lipiodol. METHODS: To evaluate the effect of SJS as a medicament which can be used in interventional therapy, we repeated the hepatoma-bearing rats, and treated them by interventional therapy with SJS referring to the method which Lindel set up, comparing its effect to which of chemical medicines and lipiodol. RESULTS: SJS or lipiodol alone had an inhibiting effect to liver cancer. The tumor growth rates were 13.89%, 14.05%, and the tumor inhibiting rates reached 38.10%, 37.49%. The curative effect of the SJS/lipiodol group was the best, and its growth rate and inhibiting rate were 3.36% and 85.03%, respectively better than the SJS group and lipiodol group (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference between the effect of the SJS/lipiodol group and the mitomycin/lipiodol group. The survival period of SJS/lipiodol group was longer than the rest groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The interventional therapy by SJS/lipiodol has obvious inhibitory effect on the growth of hepatoma-bearing rats, which is similar to that of MMC/lipiodol. This inhibiting effect is better than that of the SJS or lipiodol group. SJS/lipiodol can prolong the survival period of hepatoma-bearing rats obviously, and this effect is better than that of single lipiodol, SJS or MMC/lipiodol.

[Study on the antioxidant effect of Samara oil].

The oil productivity of Samara oil seeds is high and its quality is better than other kinds of oil seeds. Forty Wistar rats (24 month-old) are randomly divided into 4 groups: A (control group), B (vitamin E group), C(Samara oil group) and D(Sea Buckthron oil group). The rats are killed and examined after 28 days of feeding with four different feeds respectively. The results show that compared with the control group, the lipid peroxidation in group B, C, and D decreases while the antioxidant effect increases indicating that the antioxidant effect of Samara oil is strong than that of vitamin E. It is suggested that this natural oil resource might have great potential in the development of food.
