Dysectatic disturbances in leukemia patients can be determined by leukemic infiltration of the prosthate or by the evolution of a co-existing peri-urethral adenoma. Indications and results of physiotherapy and surgery are evaluated in connection with an observation of peri-urethral adenoma in a patient with chronic myeloid leukemia.

[Pancreatic and extrapancreatic fluid collections following acute and chronic pancreatitis].

Intra- or extrapancreatic liquid collections are common complications for acute and chronic pancreatitis, with variable morphologic features and possible evolution toward complications. A total of 31 liquid collections (pseudocysts, ascites and/ or enzymatic pleurisy) in 22 patients are presented. The study assems the etiology, the diagnostic methods and the treatment of the liquid collections. The preferred surgical treatment is either cysto-digestive anastomosis or distal pancreatic resections. Also some new therapeutic modalities are analyzed percutaneous or endoscopic drainage.

[The surgical treatment of parathyroid hyperfunction; comments on 16 cases].

16 cases of primary (13 cases) or secondary (3 cases) parathyroid hyperfunction are presented. The diagnostic circumstances are described: the tumor were incidentally discovered in patients with skeletal or urinary symptoms and following the artificial dialysis in patients with send failure. The treatment consisted in 12 adenoma excision and 3 subtotal paratyroidectomies (in 3 patients with hyperparathyroidism of renal origin. Associated operations on the thyroid gland (tactical or for removing thyroid nodules) and the operations for urinary lithiasis or skeletal disease were also presented. There was no postoperative morbidity or mortality.
